Using AI Honestly

Where AI help is welcome, where it isn't, and how to disclose it.

Writing well with AI is a skill. Knowing where you're allowed to use it matters just as much. Rules differ between schools, employers, clients and publishers, and they've changed a lot since 2023. One class may ban AI while the next one requires it. This module helps you find the rule that applies to you and work within it.

It also covers what Google has said about AI content, since many people use AI for websites. It ends with disclosure lines you can adapt.

After this module you can

  • Find and understand the AI policy for any course you take
  • Use AI at work without risking confidential data
  • Explain what Google rewards and what it treats as spam
  • Write a short, honest disclosure of how you used AI
